Pendleton Woolen Mills began
production of their beautiful wool blankets over a century ago. Their
products feature vivid colors and elaborate designs inspired by local
and Southwest Native American tribes. Pendleton blankets were used as
wearing apparel, trading and credit among Native Americans, and
quickly became prized for ceremonial use. After successfully marketing
their blankets, Pendleton began producing plaid fashions for men in
the 1920’s, and then for women in the 1940’s.
Pendleton Wool is made from the
strongest, highest quality 100% pure virgin wool and is made to last.
It is easy to care for and naturally wrinkle-resistant.
The hollow fibers of wool absorb dyes
deeply and permanently for rich, long lasting color, and are
comfortable for year round use.
Pendleton blankets are admired and
cherished for their elaborate patterns and excellent quality. They are
valued possessions and used as gifts, wall art, or for snuggling up
and staying warm.
Pendleton Woolen Mills offers free
tours Monday-Friday
